Artist's Description
This whale watching tour was my first attempt at trying to photograph whales in their habitat. I have a new appreciation for getting that "perfect shot", as you never really know when and where they're going to surface, and locking in on the focus can be a challenge from a moving boat.
This juvenile with the southern transient pod and her family were just doing a slow tour last night. They must have been tired after all the activity we've been hearing about lately.
