Description
This female orca is one of the southern transients (or Biggs) plying the waters between the southern part of Vancouver Island and the mainland. The transients are mammal eaters, so seals, sea lions and porpoises make up the majority of their diet. This one was photographed on a summer evening in 2016, swimming north between Saltspring Island and Galiano Island
