It's still early in the year and there isn't a lot of activity, but there were a couple of sooty grouse hanging out. I was enjoying the view with the early morning sun shining on Mount Arrowsmith when I heard the two fly up into a tree behind me. The male seemed content to keep me occupied while his mate moved into hiding.
