Sometimes it's as though they want their photo taken. I was looking out over the marsh, trying to figure out how to capture a long distance shot of blackbirds on the bull rushes, into the sun, when this one chirped and let me know he was ready for his portrait. Couldn't have asked for closer, or better light.
